Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and consulting with them to build quality contingent labor strategies with broader talent acquisition goals.
  • •Be the voice of reason and push engineering to make sound design decisions that are conducive to a high performing supply plan.
  • •Negotiate complex global contracts, focusing on pricing structures, SLAs, and favorable commercial terms.
  • •Manage suppliers to ensure performance against KPIs and operational metrics; drive continuous improvement initiatives that result in improved performance and cost reduction; audit supplier invoicing against actual work completed.
  • •Present value propositions to SpaceX executives, including those related to contract award, cost reviews and cost reduction strategies.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree and 4+ years of experience in Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material or production planning, Operations or supply chain management, Material cost control, or Master production scheduling; or bachelor’s degree and 6+ years; or 10+ years in these areas.
  • •Experience with indirect procurement, with a significant focus on human resources or professional service categories.
  • •Category expertise - proven track record managing contingent labor programs.
  • •Strong understanding of labor market trends, rate benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
  • •Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or Tableau) to drive category insights.
