Job Summary

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, tools, and machinery during the night shift. Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special-purpose machines, using hand and power tools as needed. Troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and test equipment to ensure safe, timely operation. Complete welding/torch and light machining tasks, perform general repairs on plant structures, and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform overall preventative maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
•Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines.
•Operate hand and power tools for repairs, greasing, part changes, and assigned tasks.
•Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery; determine and complete repairs to ensure proper, safe operation.
•Perform welding/torch work and light machining as required, and handle general repairs/maintenance to plant structures.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/equivalent, or comparable training, education, or experience.
•Technical or vocational school certification (or equivalent training/experience).
•Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals; follow step-by-step instructions.
•Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, belting, mechanics, electricity, carpentry, or related fields (preferred).
•Full understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
