Key Responsibilities

  • •Catch, identify, and vaccinate birds as part of flock housing and other movement activities.
  • •Handle birds for housing by scanning identification, placing/badging birds in pens or cages, and continuing until all birds are housed.
  • •Perform live-haul and processing tasks such as removing bands/badges, trimming toenails and/or beaks, euthanizing pedigree birds, and transporting them for disposal.
  • •Maintain flock production by removing used litter, placing new shavings, and keeping litter in production per schedule.
  • •Run belts/augers to remove litter and spent feed, transport materials to the litter shed, and mix litter using tractor/loader; support sanitation and yard maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care).
