Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide one-on-one coaching to support members' personal goals, inspire self-discovery, and strengthen skills for care
  • •Plan and lead group activities that encourage participation, build community, and celebrate progress
  • •Help members access and navigate community resources and support services
  • •Conduct field work in the community, including home check-ins and attending events with members as a supportive peer
  • •Collaborate with teammates and clinical staff to ensure every member receives compassionate, coordinated support

Key Requirements

  • •NYS Certified Peer Specialist (NYCPS) certification required
  • •Minimum 2 years of stable, personal recovery
  • •High school diploma or equivalent required
  • •At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges
  • •Strong coaching and motivational skills, with ability to support individuals through challenges and model effective coping strategies
