Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide support for individual pupils and groups inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation and support social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • •Assist in implementing individual education programmes and help monitor pupils’ progress.
  • •Support pupils with additional needs (including emotional and behavioural difficulties) and help develop social skills.
  • •Assist teachers with maintaining pupil records, preparing displays, and supporting teaching tasks (e.g., photocopying).
  • •Promote health and safety, keep pupils on task, check attendance, supervise in classrooms and other locations, and support behaviour policy and disciplining in line with school policy.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum secondary school certificate (with Bachelors noted as an alternative).
  • •At least two-year experience in a school setting.
  • •English language skills according to the school curriculum.
  • •Previous experience supporting students for whom English is not their first language.
  • •A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check or police check.
