Job Summary

Join Reformation’s Product Innovation Design team as Handbag Designer to shape the vision and future of the accessories category. Lead from concept to final execution, translating global trends into must-have, sustainable bags with technical mastery in handbag construction, leathercraft, and an eye for color, materials, and detail. Collaborate cross-functionally with Design Director, PD, Merchandising, and factories in a fast-paced, hybrid NYC environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Research ongoing trends and translate ideas into products for the Reformation brand/customer.
•Contribute to development of overarching seasonal concepts, themes, and collections under the guidance of the Design Director.
•Lead design pass-offs, build comprehensive Tech Packs, and liaise with factories to turn visions into tangible items.
•Create CADs and build monthly colors assortments; render and design hardware for decorative and functional purposes.
•Update and manage design decks with up-to-date information and collaborate with Merchandising to fulfill the line plan.

Pay and Benefits

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field preferred.
•3-5 years’ experience in design within luxury or contemporary women’s handbag industry (internships or entry level roles welcome).
•Experience with leather is a plus and strong CAD skills.
•Excellent eye for color, materials and a keen attention to detail.
•Strong sketching skills and CAD skills; highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
