Job Summary

Lead WSP’s Environmental Geologist discipline for the Irvine Site Investigation & Remediation team, providing strategic direction to deliver environmental assessment and remediation projects. Drive business development across industrial, government, energy, oil & gas, and transportation sectors, mentor geologists and environmental scientists, and support proposals and technical reports. Serve as a key liaison to agencies and clients, interpret scientific and regulatory data, and manage multiple projects to achieve revenue, delivery, schedules, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide proactive, strategic leadership for the scientific discipline to ensure successful delivery of project and work site deliverables.
•Perform business development across environmental investigation/remediation, engineering, and related services for multiple sectors.
•Oversee, mentor, and direct staff- and project-level geologists and environmental scientists.
•Assist preparation of technical reports and proposals; ensure certifications and value proposition are developed and continuously improved.
•Manage multiple projects and multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and budgets are achieved while collaborating with other disciplines and meeting sales, revenue, and delivery goals.

Key Requirements

•BS in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related science field.
•15+ years of environmental remediation and sales experience.
•Experience with multi-disciplinary remediation/assessment projects involving the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, DTSC, and/or local CUPAs.
•Knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, Water Board, and other CalEPA programs.
•Consulting experience with investigation and remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater, including petroleum hydrocarbons, metals, chlorinated solvents, PCBs, and/or PFAS, plus soil gas/vapor intrusion.
