Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and refine the existing ARS tool, including questions, risk classification logic, clinical recommendations, and referral pathways.
  • •Expand the tool beyond antenatal assessment to cover postnatal, newborn, and non-pregnant periods with evidence-aligned clinical logic.
  • •Design the validation approach (methodology, study design, sampling, testing, data requirements, outcomes, and analysis framework).
  • •Lead ethical approval preparation and submissions, including developing required protocols and managing responses/revisions through approval.
  • •Support testing, validation, and digitization by translating approved clinical questions/algorithms/workflows into the digital product and recommending evidence-based modifications.

Key Requirements

  • •Medical degree with significant clinical experience, strongly preferred in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or a related maternal/newborn health specialty.
  • •7+ years of relevant clinical and/or public health experience with strong maternal and newborn health expertise.
  • •Demonstrated clinical research experience, including study design, research methodology, and scientific writing.
  • •Strong knowledge of research ethics and IRB/ethical approval processes, including protocol and ethics application preparation.
  • •Experience validating clinical decision-support/screening/risk-stratification tools and translating clinical evidence into algorithms and referral pathways.
