Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure successful design of highways and drainage systems using tools such as OpenRoads, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoTurn.
  • •Participate in site visits to assess and document existing conditions.
  • •Prepare alignments, geometrics, cost estimates, quantity calculations, technical reports, and memos.
  • •Coordinate design inputs across multiple teams for seamless project execution.
  • •Review and check designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance, and guide junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • •5–10 years of experience in highway/roadway design, with MTO projects preferred.
  • •P.Eng or Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist designation (an asset).
  • •Experience with Design-Build/P3 projects (an asset).
  • •Knowledge of Ontario environmental standards, guidelines, and design manuals; familiarity with OpenRoads and MTO CPS/HICO (an asset).
