Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, cooling, steering, engine, transmission, and related diesel/electrical/electronic systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions and triage complicated repairs for other technicians.
  • •Maintain company service truck operations, perform safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections, and manage parts inventory with periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders, document findings and photos using the company iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application, and communicate with management/support as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as a degree/certification or 5 years experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the required job duties.
  • •Ability to comply with DOT/FMCSA requirements, including passing DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Current and valid DOT medical card and a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
