Key Responsibilities

  • •Support civil, materials, and geotechnical engineering projects across a variety of sectors.
  • •Perform construction monitoring including excavations, subgrade inspections, shallow foundation inspections, and pile installation monitoring.
  • •Participate in geotechnical drilling programs, soil logging, and field investigations.
  • •Assist project managers and technical staff with site investigations, data collection, and project coordination.
  • •Prepare field reports and contribute to geotechnical reports, technical memoranda, proposals, and required laboratory testing and analysis.
Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 29.1 - 43.3 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • •6 months to 2 years of relevant experience (including internships, co-op, or summer employment) in materials engineering, geotechnical engineering, consulting, construction, geological fieldwork, or resource development projects.
  • •Registered, or eligible for registration, as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with APEGA.
  • •Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s licence (or equivalent) with a satisfactory driving record.
  • •Strong English communication skills and ability to work outdoors in varying weather and challenging terrain.
