Job Summary

Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and operating automated deployment and configuration for the Akamai Cloud. You will implement observability and IaC practices, reduce toil through automation, and collaborate with software, infrastructure, and platform teams to resolve complex production issues. Expect on-call duties and ongoing improvements to reliability, scalability, and performance in a large-scale distributed system.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, test, and operate essential services to improve reliability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure systems.
•Design and implement observability solutions (monitoring, logging, alerting, telemetry) to identify issues before customer impact.
•Increase reliability through automation, reduce operational toil, and boost resilience in engineering processes.
•Build deep expertise in Akamai Cloud (ACDC) systems and share best practices across teams.
•Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, and platform teams to resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement lasting fixes.

Key Requirements

•Expertise in Ansible (playbooks, roles, automation workflows)
•Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, Puppet or equivalent
•Linux-based software and infrastructure development at scale
•Experience in site reliability or software engineering for large distributed systems
•Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
