Key Responsibilities

  • •Design or extend components, variants, and patterns (e.g., forms, navigation, tables, empty/error states) and create scalable specs for states, interactions, responsive behavior, and accessibility.
  • •Improve usage guidance, do/don’t examples, and rationale to reduce ambiguity for product teams.
  • •Help maintain libraries and documentation across Figma + Keystone website.
  • •Assist with UI audits for consistency and system alignment; support adoption and migration by mapping legacy patterns to Keystone equivalents.
  • •Partner with engineers to ensure feasibility and crisp handoff; participate in critiques and design reviews and incorporate feedback quickly while communicating tradeoffs clearly.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Product Design / Interaction Design / HCI / Visual Communication (or equivalent experience).
  • •Strong fundamentals in UI craft and interaction thinking (states, flows, usability).
  • •Comfort working in Figma (components, variants, auto layout, styles/tokens preferred).
  • •Must be able to commit to a 12-week full-time work period during Summer 2027.
  • •Basic understanding of design systems concepts: tokens, component design, governance, accessibility.
