Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide expert advice to clients to support their operational safety objectives.
  • •Collaborate with WSP specialists to deliver subject matter expertise for safety risk assessments, operating procedures, policy, and major projects.
  • •Undertake research and data analysis to inform safety evaluations and recommendations.
  • •Engage stakeholders including emergency services, operational staff, highway authorities, transport operators, and breakdown recovery teams.
  • •Lead responsible roles for technical packages (time, cost, and quality), ensuring customer satisfaction and presenting findings to client forums and industry stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience preparing and/or reviewing safety risk assessments, hazard logs, and risk registers, particularly within the transport domain.
  • •Understanding of safety by design concepts, prevention principles, and the application of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
  • •A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., civil engineering, transport studies, geography, psychology, arts) or technician qualification with BTEC/HNC/HND and relevant experience.
  • •Experience working in a consultancy role, or demonstrated aptitude for providing excellent consultancy support.
  • •Ability to undertake qualitative and quantitative data analysis, including using artificial intelligence tools to support research, analysis, and reporting.
