Key Responsibilities

  • •Own a vertical end-to-end, setting outcomes and metrics and prioritizing a backlog by value, risk, dependency, and strategic priority.
  • •Shape technical design with engineering around system boundaries, correctness for money movement (idempotency, ledgering, reconciliation), and reliability under third-party and failure/retry/refund scenarios.
  • •Make and defend hard trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and UX with engineering, compliance, and ops leaders.
  • •Translate regulated constraints into product inputs (licensing scope, CDD/KYC, sanctions/PEP screening, transaction monitoring, data residency, privacy) and define launch gates.
  • •Apply AI responsibly by defining allowed decisions, human-in-the-loop behavior, evaluation approach, and safe behavior when uncertain; ensure AI outputs trace back to real records.
  • •Ship features behind flags and go live per external partner and regulatory gate clearance.
  • •Work across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance/Reconciliation.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience owning a complex technical product end-to-end with strong judgement and decisiveness in ambiguity.
  • •Solid system design foundation, including boundaries, datastores, queues/workflows, APIs, failure modes, and concurrency consistency.
  • •Experience in a regulated or high-consequence domain (e.g., payments, banking, remittance, insurance) or the ability to ramp quickly.
  • •Hands-on AI judgement with LLM-based products, defining how features are evaluated and when a human must stay in the loop.
  • •Strong English communication and ability to lead cross-functional alignment with engineering.
  • •Nice to have: shipped AI-heavy consumer products and/or defined eval metrics for ML/LLM systems.
