Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with the day-to-day administration of corporate and personal insolvency appointments, including case files, checklists, and statutory diaries.
  • •Prepare and review statutory lodgements with ASIC and the ATO, and monitor compliance with statutory deadlines under relevant Australian legislation.
  • •Prepare reports to creditors and stakeholders, including progress reports, receipts and payments, estimated outcome statements, and secured creditor updates.
  • •Conduct statutory searches and review records, bank statements, and financial accounts to support investigative work and asset realisation.
  • •Support meetings of creditors and provide site support as needed; supervise, delegate, and review work performed by offshore staff and provide updates on case progression and deadlines.

Key Requirements

  • •1 to 2 years of corporate and personal insolvency experience from a specialist insolvency practice or accounting firm.
  • •Experience with case management systems such as IPS (or similar).
  • •Understanding of the lifecycle of corporate and personal insolvency appointments and familiarity with Australian statutory requirements and compliance deadlines.
  • •Strong written communication skills, including drafting correspondence, reports, and statutory documents.
  • •Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce, business, finance, or commercial law, with progress toward professional qualifications (e.g., CPA/CA) highly regarded.
