Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time along required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, follow loading crew signals, and assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment.
  • •Maintain signed invoices and shipping paperwork, delivering documentation to the shipping office when the route is complete.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil/water/gasoline/air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight and state requirements.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and travel frequently, including overnight travel and on-call scheduling.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform loading/unloading tasks as required.
