Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer messaging platforms (IBM MQ, Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ): install/configure/upgrade, manage messaging artifacts, and implement HA/DR strategies.
  • •Engineer integration solutions with IBM IIB/ACE by building and deploying message flows, managing BAR files, servers, policies, and environment overrides.
  • •Support IoT/telemetry messaging by configuring MQXR telemetry listeners and MQTT topics/subscriptions with appropriate QoS and security.
  • •Manage workload automation using IBM TWS/IWS: configure masters/controllers/agents, build job streams and schedules, troubleshoot job failures, and integrate with enterprise systems.
  • •Implement end-to-end security and observability: enforce TLS/mTLS and access controls, handle monitoring/incident response, and create runbooks/SOPs with on-call production support.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong working knowledge of IBM MQ (distributed/clustering/security), IBM IIB/ACE, and IBM TWS/IWS job scheduling.
  • •Experience designing, developing, and deploying message flows using IBM IIB/ACE (ESQL, mapping nodes, REST/SOAP connectors, MQ/Kafka nodes).
  • •Hands-on experience with MQTT/MQXR telemetry messaging, including secure MQTT client configuration and monitoring.
  • •Strong Linux/Unix administration and debugging skills across messaging, network, TLS, and application layers.
  • •Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers, proxies) and the ability to troubleshoot message flow failures and performance issues.
