Job Summary

Serve as the primary legal partner to product, engineering, and design teams building stablecoins, payments, and crypto infrastructure. Provide end-to-end product life-cycle counseling and day-to-day legal and strategic guidance, advising on U.S. and international regulatory requirements (including money transmission, NYDFS BitLicense, e-money, securities, and BSA). Drive resolution of novel legal issues and build scalable legal processes that enable compliant product velocity.

Key Responsibilities

•Own day-to-day legal advisory for stablecoin, payments, and crypto infrastructure product teams across the full product life cycle.
•Advise product managers and engineers on U.S. and international regulatory requirements, including money transmission laws, the GENIUS Act, NYDFS BitLicense, banking regulations, e-money issuance, securities regulation, and BSA compliance.
•Identify risks and resolve novel legal issues by partnering with specialized colleagues and engaging outside counsel when needed.
•Partner cross-functionally with Compliance, Communications, Finance, Tax, Security, and Enterprise Risk Management to deliver cohesive guidance enabling product launches.
•Shape the team’s approach to emerging regulatory frameworks and build scalable legal processes and playbooks that maintain compliance while enabling product speed.

Salary: USD 224,995 - 264,700 annually

Key Requirements

•J.D. with 7+ years of legal experience and active U.S. state bar membership, including experience counseling product teams on technology product launches in a fintech/crypto or consumer technology environment.
•Deep familiarity with U.S. and global payments/financial services regulations, including money transmission, NYDFS BitLicense, Reg E, SEC, CFTC, CFPB, and FTC Section 5/UDAAP.
•Ability to apply regulatory requirements to novel crypto product constructs while balancing compliance with product velocity.
•Proven experience embedding with cross-functional teams and independently driving legal workstreams from problem identification through resolution.
•Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
