Job Summary

Lead and develop the Background Check Specialist team to ensure accurate adjudication of professional background check results and consistent eligibility decisions. Oversee identity verification plus data deletion and retrieval requests in compliance with consumer rights and U.S. privacy laws. Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, Support, and others to align on policies, processes, and training. Set OKRs/KPIs, monitor performance, and report operational insights to senior leadership while fostering a secure, trustworthy environment.

•Lead, mentor, and coach Background Check Specialists to build continuous learning, accountability, and growth.
•Oversee daily background check adjudication operations to ensure efficient and accurate eligibility decisions.
•Manage identity verification and ensure timely processing of data deletion and retrieval requests in line with consumer rights and U.S. privacy laws.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, Support, and others on background check and data privacy policies, processes, and training initiatives.
•Set team OKRs/KPIs, monitor performance, provide feedback, and report operational insights and results to senior leadership.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 95,500 - 145,300 annually

Key Requirements

•2-4 years of relevant leadership experience in Trust and Safety, Law Enforcement, Legal, Compliance, or related fields.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage customers, pros, internal teams, and cross-functional partners.
•Demonstrated problem-solving and adaptability with critical thinking for effective decision-making.
•Collaboration skills with resilience, urgency, ownership, and receptiveness to feedback and shifting priorities.
•Program management experience creating structures, systems, and processes that improve efficiency and user experience quality.
