Job Summary

Design, build, execute, and continuously improve automated tests to ensure software reliability, security, and performance. Partner with engineers and product teams to prevent defects early, strengthen engineering quality, and enable confident releases. Own automated test strategy across unit, API/service, integration, and (as needed) UI layers; create reusable test frameworks, integrate tests into CI/CD, and report quality risks and release readiness.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement automated test strategies across unit, API/service, integration, and where appropriate UI layers.
•Create and maintain robust unit test suites covering behavior, edge cases, and failure modes.
•Investigate defects by reproducing issues, isolating root causes, and partnering with engineers to resolve quickly.
•Improve testability by influencing design (e.g., dependency injection, clear interfaces, observability hooks).
•Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, track quality risks, and promote quality engineering practices such as shift-left testing and contract testing.

Key Requirements

•4-7 years of experience in automated testing and quality engineering within modern software delivery teams.
•Strong unit testing fundamentals (arrange/act/assert, mocking, test isolation, deterministic tests, and coverage vs confidence).
•Hands-on ability to write production-quality automated tests and improve existing code using tests as a safety net.
•Experience with one or more languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, Go, Kotlin, or Swift.
•Familiarity with CI/CD and test automation tooling, plus testing techniques like boundary analysis and negative testing.
