Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage engineering, design, development, and integration activities to meet project scope, cost, quality, schedule, and risk commitments.
  • •Provide direction, expert advice, mentoring, and workflow management, including task prioritisation and resource coordination.
  • •Guide technical teams on integration, technical and configuration matters aligned to agreed architecture and customer requirements.
  • •Optimise technical execution efficiency by organising systems engineering reviews and participating from design through validation and acceptance.
  • •Identify and review risks, propose solutions, execute mitigation actions, and report outcomes including cost savings and residual risks.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in a Defence or Major project environment at a senior level.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge in systems engineering, software development, or hardware development.
  • •Practical experience across all phases of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle, including requirements development and requirements management using requirements tools.
  • •Experience with integration, verification, validation, and qualification engineering.
  • •Engineering degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics, Software, Electronics/Electrical, or Systems engineering, and able to meet membership requirements of IEAust; Chartered Professional Engineer and/or INCOSE CSEP is required (or achievable).
