Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing site data (surveys, blueprints, GIS, subsurface utility, maps, geotechnical) for project development, design, and construction.
  • •Perform basic structural engineering research and inspections to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and permits.
  • •Support development of monitoring devices, modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies for safety and functionality.
  • •Generate accurate technical reports and documentation using sketches, calculations, electronic systems, spreadsheets, software, and 2D/3D illustrations.
  • •Assist technical staff and project managers with risk identification and assessment and support design and remediation activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • •1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience.
  • •Knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and design/build application to project work issues.
  • •Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design.
  • •Experience with discipline-specific design software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, Geopak, GeoSlope).
