Job Summary

Support structural engineering work for building and infrastructure projects in the public and private sector. Assist with collecting and analyzing site, survey, blueprint, GIS, subsurface, and geotechnical data; help with research, inspections, and compliance with rules, standards, and permits. Contribute to structural soundness under loads and environmental influences, develop supporting tools/models, and produce accurate technical reports and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•With minimal supervision, collect, compile, and analyze site and engineering data for project development, design, and construction.
•Perform basic structural engineering research and inspections of site and infrastructure conditions for permit and standards conformance.
•Assist with developing monitoring devices, modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies for safety and functionality.
•Help verify structural soundness under loads and pressures influenced by environmental or human factors.
•Write technical reports and documentation, and support risk identification and assessment with technical input for remediation and improvement work.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or closely related).
•1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
•Knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and design/build application to project work.
•Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design.
•Proficiency with structural/civil design software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, Geopak, GeoSlope, ANSYS, STAAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS).
