Job Summary

Provide excellent customer service while performing teller duties such as processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cashier’s checks; cashing negotiable instruments; and verifying and balancing cash daily. Operate an online teller terminal, maintain privacy of customer information, and resolve discrepancies promptly. Promote and cross-sell bank products, support banker procedures and compliance requirements, and complete required reports and records.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform teller functions efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with established policies, standards, and security procedures.
•Receive and process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and related negotiable items (including cashing checks and processing cashier’s checks).
•Sell traveler’s checks, official checks, and money orders; process credit card cash advances and transfers between accounts.
•Verify and balance cash daily, detect and resolve discrepancies promptly, and follow teller procedures while adhering to compliance requirements.
•Build and maintain professional client relationships by promptly resolving requests/inquiries, promoting bank products/services, and completing required reports and records.

Key Requirements

•High school graduate or equivalent.
•At least one year of related experience/cash handling required.
•Understanding of bank operations is preferred.
•Good communication skills and professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
•Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment (e.g., adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, telephone).
