Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify and assess legal risks related to the travel industry and Capital One’s travel services offering.
  • •Translate laws and legal requirements into guidance for business teams and legal subject matter experts.
  • •Engage collaboratively with colleagues to provide legal support in a cross-functional team.
  • •Partner with PPX, Card, Brand, the Business Risk Office, Corporate Communications, and Compliance to address risks and resolve issues.
  • •Contribute to investigations and assessment of legal, regulatory, contractual, and business risks tied to third-party contracts, business initiatives, and customer experiences.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 182,500 - 229,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • •Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
  • •At least 4 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, government agency, military judge advocate role, or in-house counsel.
  • •5+ years of attorney experience ideally involving travel or fintech industries, or consumer regulatory/consumer financial services.
  • •Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others, plus the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
