Job Summary

Lead contractual and commercial activities for complex bids, proposals, and contract negotiations for high-value defence and technology programmes. Manage contractual and commercial risks, provide contract interpretation and governance guidance to bid and project teams, and support compliance with company policies. Build relationships across customers, partners, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders while mentoring colleagues and helping develop the Legal & Contracts function.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the contractual and commercial aspects of complex bids, proposals, and contract negotiations to achieve commercially robust outcomes.
•Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.
•Identify, assess, and manage commercial and contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies to support programme delivery.
•Provide commercial guidance to bid and project teams, including contract interpretation, governance, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
•Support and influence strategic business decisions while mentoring colleagues and contributing to the continuous development of the Legal & Contracts function.
