Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, install, and maintain high voltage cable systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • •Lead projects by providing technical leadership and ensuring successful delivery of multi-discipline work.
  • •Prepare, review, and validate technical proposals from Transmission & Distribution projects.
  • •Prepare technical documents and calculations using CYMCAP, including cable system design, ratings, bonding system selection, and cable layout.
  • •Coordinate with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects and support client interest/drivers.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience in the design, manufacture, and testing of HV cables for HVAC applications and HVDC projects (onshore and offshore).
  • •Ability to serve as a cable expert with knowledge of IEC cable standards and CIGRE technical policies and specifications.
  • •Proficiency preparing, reviewing, and validating technical proposals for Transmission & Distribution projects.
  • •Experience producing technical documents/calculations using the cable modelling software CYMCAP (including ratings and HV cable system design).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent), preferably Electrical/Power engineering, with 12+ years of experience. UK projects/standards experience is an added advantage.
