Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor performance using technical knowledge of Radiation Protection/Chemistry Program and anticipate problems.
  • •Investigate technical problems, evaluate collected data, determine causes, and recommend solutions.
  • •Provide technical consulting within the discipline by collaborating with employees and participating on committees/task forces/solution teams.
  • •Research and compile special reports/self-assessments within confidentiality and information safeguarding constraints.
  • •Develop improvement ideas and materials to enhance work methods and outcomes, supporting ALARA, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Science with 3+ years of experience in the Nuclear Power Industry or discipline-specific experience.
  • •Alternative: Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience in the Nuclear Power Industry or discipline-specific experience.
  • •Alternative: 7+ years of Nuclear Power Industry experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Preferred training/education in Radiation Protection/Health Physics/Environmental Health/Chemistry and related cause analysis/problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • •Experience setting up and maintaining analytical chemistry and radiochemistry equipment.
