Own and build backend services for Mozilla’s Ecosystem Services, including integrations that keep privacy, notification, and configuration platforms running reliably in production. •Lead backend development by building and maintaining server-side logic.
•Take end-to-end ownership: deploy, operate, and keep services healthy in production.

•Participate in an on-call/off-hours rotation to triage and resolve production issues and incidents.
•Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams on API design and ensure backend systems and data contracts meet needs.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on backend technologies.
•Strong experience building back-end services in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Rust, and confidence leading backend engineering projects.
•Proficiency with PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization, including relational schema design and migrations using a query builder such as Knex.
•Hands-on DevOps experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Docker-based build/deploy pipelines, including deploying, operating, and troubleshooting services in the cloud.
•Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Sentry and Grafana, along with an ownership mindset for operating services in production.
