Key Responsibilities

  • •Engage in risk workshops/reviews (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, Constructability Reviews) and incorporate findings into design requirements and the Safety Case.
  • •Prepare workshop Terms of Reference documentation and workshop reports.
  • •Perform qualitative and quantitative risk-based studies on new and existing facilities.
  • •Perform consequence modelling using PHAST software.
  • •Develop FSA studies (including FERA, NFHA, EERA, ESSA) and provide ALARP-aligned technical input aligned with loss prevention codes/standards.

Key Requirements

  • •An engineering degree in a relevant discipline (Chemical/Process, Electrical or Control Systems).
  • •Some technical safety experience in the oil and gas industry (ideally ~5 years).
  • •RPEQ, or working towards achieving RPEQ status.
  • •Understanding of Onshore and Offshore Australian Safety Case regulations.
  • •Experience operating DNV PHAST, DNV Safeti risk software, and Flaresim.
