Job Summary

Support the R&D team to accelerate product development and new product introduction for composite building materials. Expand non-destructive testing capabilities, run standard QC and specialized non-QC tests, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and analyze data to improve materials and procedures. Work with pilot, lab-scale, and production-scale extrusion equipment to generate prototypes, execute trial runs and field evaluations, and present unbiased results to R&D and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in expanding non-destructive testing capabilities for composite building materials.
•Conduct testing on product properties, including standard QC and specialized non-QC tests.
•Use pilot, lab-scale, and production-scale extrusion equipment to generate and process prototypes for further testing.
•Analyze processes, products, or equipment against desired results, including formulation characterization and process optimization.
•Present meaningful results and unbiased conclusions; recommend improvements to R&D instrumentation, equipment, and lab procedures based on analyzed outcomes.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate/Bachelor degree in engineering, applied, or physical sciences.
•Working knowledge of polymer processing analysis, testing, and equipment.
•Demonstrated ability to analyze and report data, including troubleshooting testing equipment.
•Understands lab-scale processes and technologies for extrusion and composite building products.
•Excellent mechanical and analytical aptitude with a sense of urgency and accountability.
