Key Responsibilities

  • •Adjust assigned Workers’ Compensation lost time claims for TPA clients, including timely investigations and contacts with employees, employers, physicians, and witnesses.
  • •Evaluate compensability and total value using Florida Statutes and case law; set and adjust reserve amounts throughout the life of the claim.
  • •Initiate indemnity payments, maintain payment diaries, and ensure timely completion of required state filings, including EDI filings and rejections.
  • •Authorize appropriate medical services and coordinate medical treatment with the assigned Nurse Case Manager; review and approve medical bills for payment within three days of receipt.
  • •Monitor vocational rehabilitation needs, coordinate light duty and accommodations, review cases for red flags, and pursue subrogation and related recovery opportunities when appropriate.
