Key Responsibilities

  • •Design thermal solutions to enable AMD’s next generation of datacenter GPUs.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally to design thermal-mechanical solutions from chip level to system level.
  • •Contribute to the product cycle from conceptualization through mass production.
  • •Perform thermal validation of thermal-mechanical hardware at chip, card, and system level.
  • •Identify and evaluate novel thermal technologies and drive process improvements for fast time-to-market.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong background in heat transfer and fluid dynamics for electronics thermal management, including air and liquid cooling technologies.
  • •Experience with CFD for liquid-cooled systems, including Icepak (or similar), with ANSYS Icepak or AEDT experience as a plus.
  • •Hands-on CAD experience with SolidWorks and/or Creo, including implementing liquid cooling designs for CFD analysis.
  • •Deep understanding of thermal management components such as TIM, spreaders, heat sink, vapor chamber, heat pipe, and fan.
  • •MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
