Job Summary

Lead operations for the Transfer Agency AML/KYC team, ensuring high-quality client service while minimizing risk and maximizing profit through effective cost/resource management. Manage people directly and indirectly while also handling processing work such as transaction checks, investigations, escalations, and cash/unit reconciliation. Own and improve processes across multiple jurisdictions, including investor onboarding, transaction monitoring, negative news screening, customer due diligence, and enhanced due diligence. Coordinate with onshore and global stakeholders and drive transformation, projects, and user acceptance testing.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure high-quality client service in the Transfer Agency AML/KYC function by minimizing risks and maximizing profit through effective management of costs/resources.
•Manage people (direct and indirect reports) and, as needed, spend substantial time in processing and technical aspects of the AML/KYC process.
•Lead user acceptance testing and projects for both onshore and GSC based on business objectives and requirements.
•Oversee processing activities including transaction/activity checks, investigations/escalations, and reconciliation of cash and unit accounts, investigating breaks when necessary.
•Perform and oversee customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD), including identity document verification, legal status/UBO checks, risk profiling, and source of funds/wealth investigations; maintain stakeholder interaction and drive service improvements.

Key Requirements

•Post-graduate diploma or degree in Commerce or equivalent financial background.
•AML KYC and relevant risk certifications; relevant CISI certification.
•5–7 years of experience in a securities processing environment on AML KYC processes, including at least 24 months of Transfer Agency Operations AML KYC.
•Prior transfer agency experience covering registration, dealing, payments, and reconciliation; understanding of financial markets and mutual/hedge fund operations desirable.
•Ability to speak and understand English fluently and demonstrate strong analytical, statistical, and data mining skills, plus production/process improvement and leadership skills.
