Provide electrical maintenance support to keep equipment running in an electrical generating power plant. Diagnose electrical issues, work with other crafts and contractors, and support apprentice electricians with safe tool use and maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide electrical maintenance support to maintain equipment in an electrical generating power plant.
•Recognize safety hazards and follow safety guidelines; apply environmental rules and regulations to work situations.
•Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints, and control system drawings to complete daily tasks.
•Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect, and install/remove/maintain electrical power plant equipment and auxiliary electrical equipment.
•Work with other crafts/contractors and teach apprentice electricians proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•Five years (including apprenticeship) or more of industrial electrical maintenance experience on power plant equipment, including inspection, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
•Valid Drivers’ License required.
•Knowledge of electricity, voltage, and current relationships.
•Ability to perform electrical testing and electromechanical repair on plant equipment and instruments.
