Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain scalable backend services: Design, build, and support robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs for identity document processing and verification.
  • •Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Product, Data Science/ML, and Infrastructure teams to deliver new document verification features.
  • •Improve code quality and practices: Champion coding standards, testing, security, and CI/CD for DocV backend systems.
  • •Own backend architecture: Make architectural decisions for API design, microservices, and secure data handling.
  • •Collaborate with frontend/mobile teams: Define API contracts and assist with integration and troubleshooting as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of experience building and shipping modern backend services or distributed systems at scale.
  • •Strong proficiency with backend languages and frameworks (especially Golang) and API development (gRPC and REST).
  • •Experience designing scalable, high-availability microservices in cloud environments with low latency requirements.
  • •Solid understanding of backend performance optimization and security best practices (PII handling).
  • •Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (frontend, data science, product) and communicate complex concepts clearly.
