Job Summary

Operate production equipment on the 2nd shift (Monday–Thursday, 3:30pm–1:30am) after completing a 3-week training program and additional on-the-job training. Set up and run NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, and VTCs; read operation sheets and part travelers; verify conformance with precision measuring instruments; and perform total preventive maintenance (TPM) to support aerospace manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Attend a 3-week training program and participate in 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training to become a Certified Operator.
•Set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, or VTCs to perform routine production operations on similar weldments and assemblies.
•Use operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for grinding, turning, facing, boring, and/or chamfering operations.
•Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments and obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts.
•Maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM) and collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and programmers to resolve machining problems.
