Job Summary

Lead the Mountain Pacific Geomatics/Surveying team for the Albuquerque, New Mexico office, managing geospatial and survey projects for transportation clients. Oversee multi-discipline work including conventional surveys, aerial/UAS surveys, terrestrial scanning, and Mobile LiDAR, while driving staffing, training, client relations, budgeting, safety compliance, and quality control. Support business development, prepare scopes/fees, and help review digital models and LiDAR deliverables using industry software.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as Southwest Geomatics Regional Manager and oversee conventional surveys, aerial/UAS surveys, terrestrial scanning, and Mobile LiDAR projects.
•Manage multi-discipline survey/geospatial projects, including project scoping and kick-off meetings, digital model/LiDAR review, and quality control of deliverables.
•Provide client relations and coordinate project survey activities with key personnel and officials.
•Lead staffing: training and management, building the Geomatics team for the Southwest Region, and managing the Southwest Region Geomatics group.
•Support business operations and growth: prepare budgets and business plans, oversee operations in New Mexico, pursue business development, and prepare scope/fee documents and subconsultant agreements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, GIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•12+ years surveying experience with knowledge of surveying mathematics and land surveying practices/procedures.
•Staffing management experience, including work plans, schedules, budgets, and resource management with clients and quality control.
•Proven leadership, team building, and collaboration skills with a track record of meeting project and business goals.
•Experience with Bentley and Riegl software, plus surveying tools/software such as TopoDOT, TerraSolid, and Leica Infinity (as listed).
