Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead day-to-day execution of the engineering team, including planning, prioritization, delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • •Provide technical and architectural direction for payment orchestration, ledger and reconciliation systems, and bank/PSP integrations.
  • •Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Solutions Engineering to define roadmaps and deliver cross-border payouts and bulk payment capabilities.
  • •Own engineering delivery for regulated and managed payments initiatives, coordinating across India- and US-based teams.
  • •Ensure reliability, security, operational readiness, and financial correctness for payment-critical systems, including incident response and on-call.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years managing or formally leading software engineering teams.
  • •Design, build, and operate distributed, highly available backend systems in production.
  • •Experience building or operating payments, banking, or financial transaction systems (e.g., payment orchestration, ledgers, reconciliation, settlement).
  • •Strong hands-on technical leadership (architecture reviews, system design, technical trade-offs, code-level guidance).
  • •Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Go, or Kotlin.
