Job Summary

Join the Logistics Central Services team to scale warehouse physical automation at Airbus’s civil aircraft production site in Hamburg. You’ll act as the technical focal point for next-generation warehouse hardware, integrating technologies such as high-density cube storage and AS/RS into surface management. Own layout planning, material flow design, tender technical assessment, project delivery, and manage CapEx/OpEx phasing to support ramp-up, quality, and cost goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the technical focal point for warehouse technology, advanced storage solutions, and physical automation initiatives within the Surface Management team.
•Analyze warehouse capabilities and capacity constraints to ensure technology solutions fit physical and operational needs.
•Enable production ramp-up by integrating cutting-edge warehouse technologies, densification, and reshaping storage areas.
•Lead physical layout planning, spatial integration, and material flow design for both conventional storage and automated systems.
•Deliver technical expertise during Call for Tender, then drive design and physical installation phases while coordinating with project and operations stakeholders, including managing CapEx/OpEx phasing.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
•Proven market/solution knowledge of modern warehouse technologies, intelligent storage systems, and physical automation (e.g., high-density cube storage/AutoStore, goods-to-person AS/RS, automated conveyor networks).
•Experience in layout planning, surface optimization, and physical integration of technical equipment in complex warehouse environments.
•Experience with project management frameworks is a plus.
•Business fluent in English and German, with strong analytical/communication and stakeholder management skills.
