Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and development of airborne electronic products, ensuring compliance with SWaP and cost constraints.
  • •Communicate with executive leadership and may brief senior leaders on critical topics.
  • •Collaborate within a cross-disciplinary team of electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers.
  • •Develop requirements, design artifacts, verification plans, and risk/cost trade studies across multiple programs.
  • •Assist in proposal creation for Cost and Technical Volumes and support occasional travel.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a STEM degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 7 years of experience.
  • •Experience with modern electronic system design including high-performance FPGAs, DDR memory interfaces, A/D and D/A conversion, and power conversion.
  • •Schematic capture, PCB layout support, signal integrity analysis, and BOM management for complex electronic assemblies.
  • •Proficiency with design tools such as Mentor Xpedition, SPICE-based simulators, MATLAB, and HyperLynx SI.
  • •Preferred: FPGA-based circuitry design with JTAG, RF components knowledge, and mentoring experience.
