Job Summary

Assess and treat patients with swallowing, speech, and language disorders, developing individualized, evidence-based therapy plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams, educate patients and caregivers, and participate in case conferences and care planning while ensuring compliance with Bahrain health regulations and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Assess and diagnose communication, speech, language, and swallowing disorders across all age groups.
•Develop individualized treatment plans and deliver evidence-based therapy for communication difficulties.
•Manage swallowing disorders (dysphagia), including bedside and instrumental swallowing assessments.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in case conferences, family meetings, and care planning discussions.
•Educate patients, families, and caregivers; document assessments and progress; support training for nursing staff and caregivers; ensure compliance with policies and Bahrain health regulations.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology / Speech Therapy from a recognized university.
•Valid professional license/registration to practice in Bahrain (NHRA license) or eligibility to obtain one.
•Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist, preferably in a hospital or long-term care setting.
•Experience managing adult neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s, dementia).
