Key Responsibilities

•Lead the QA automation transformation programme, setting the automation vision, multi-quarter roadmap, and coverage targets to reach 60–70% automation coverage within 18 months.
•Architect and build enterprise test automation frameworks covering UI automation, API automation, integration/contract testing, and data validation test harnesses.
•Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines with automated regression execution, pass/fail gates, test dashboards, and failure triage.
•Drive AI-assisted testing adoption including LLM-based test generation, self-healing selectors, AI defect classification/root-cause suggestions, visual regression, and test prioritisation.
•Lead and develop the automation engineering team; recruit/onboard talent and run reviews, guilds, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Key Requirements

•10+ years in test automation engineering, with 3+ years as a Lead or Principal Automation Engineer in an agile delivery environment (ideally in banking or a digital-native organisation).
•Expert proficiency in at least two UI/API automation frameworks: Playwright or Selenium (web), Appium (mobile), RestAssured or Karate (API), using Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
•Proven experience building test automation frameworks from a low-coverage baseline with measurable coverage growth and adoption.
•Hands-on CI/CD integration experience (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Harness) to configure test stages, parallelism, and reporting.
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science/software engineering or related field; ISTQB Test Automation Engineer certification is required.
