Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a liaison between Madrid and other Wood offices to ensure timely data/drawing release and resolve problems.
  • •Coordinate civil design execution with affiliates to meet project specifications and deliver civil/structural outputs within time and budget.
  • •Check and comment on deliverables for civil structural and architectural disciplines, including drawings/models against work practices, standards, and client requirements.
  • •Ensure final civil deliverable drawings are produced for earthworks, piling, foundations, superstructures, underground services, paving, and buildings, including reinforcement detailing and schedules where applicable.
  • •Ensure final structural deliverable drawings are produced for pipe racks, steelwork supports, equipment supports/access structures, and vertical vessel circular access platforms and buildings; participate in model reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree from academy or vocational high school, preferably in architectural or civil/mechanical construction/design.
  • •Experience in EPC organizations working in the refinery and petrochemical industries on major projects.
  • •Experience as Lead Designer / Checking Designer, capable of leading a team of designers.
  • •Excellent drafting software expertise, including AutoCAD (Microstation V8 or later) and 3D modelling tools such as Smart Plant 3D or TEKLA.
  • •Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Spanish and English.
