  • •Lead a local team of traffic design and operations professionals, including mentoring and performance guidance.
  • •Provide traffic engineering technical expertise on projects and drive traffic-focused workstreams across multidisciplinary initiatives.
  • •Oversee project delivery with responsibility for professional standards, client requirements, budget and cost controls, quality control, and project objectives.
  • •Leverage client relationships to cross-sell WSP services and collaborate with district and business unit leads to support business development.
  • •Stay current with latest traffic engineering techniques and ensure compliance with QA/QC, safety, and company policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • •12+ years of relevant post-education experience in traffic engineering and design, including traffic signal/illumination drawings, signing/channelization, ITS, and work zone traffic control.
  • •Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
  • •Staff management and project management experience.
  • •Advanced proficiency with traffic engineering principles and technical computations for plans/specifications and regulatory comparisons, with strict QA/QC adherence.
