Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor building and surrounding grounds for unauthorized entry, vandalism, and safety hazards.
  • •Inspect and monitor hatchery equipment (inside/outside) to ensure proper operation.
  • •Manually record temperature and humidity readings and monitor formaldehyde per schedule.
  • •Place eggs in the incubator and perform pedigree egg checks and inventory on Saturday.
  • •Fumigate required areas and help prepare the hatchery for processors (e.g., chick room setup and chick box/scale setup).

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months for layoffs or child/elder care).
  • •Must be willing to sign and follow the Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare guidelines, including showering/changing before entering the facility.
  • •Respirator certification is required and must be maintained via annual testing; be willing to achieve and maintain certification.
  • •Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including regularly standing and lifting/moving up to 40 pounds (and occasionally more).
  • •Must be willing and able to comply with PPE and safety requirements (including passing respirator fit test).
