Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and supervise the clinical activities of junior medical staff and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures
  • •Diagnose, treat and manage patients according to established best practices within the specialty
  • •Oversee ward rounds and regularly reassess inpatients and outpatients
  • •Coordinate with other medical specialties and support services to plan effective, safe, holistic patient care
  • •Participate in and promote quality improvement, audits, and CME within the department

Key Requirements

  • •Tier 1: NLT 2 years relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post board certification
  • •Tier 2: NLT 8 years full-time employment as a Consultant or equivalent post board certification (includes years in fellowship training) in internationally accredited institute
  • •For UAE Nationals, Clinical Fellowship training following primary specialty board may substitute for experience; each year of clinical fellowship counted as two years of clinical experience; HAAD accredited fellowship programs applicable
  • •For UAE Nationals, Country-specific substitutions and HAAD programs may apply; no absolute requirement beyond experience stated
