Job Summary

Support the compliance function for Northern Trust Global Services SE by maintaining the compliance risk assessment, executing the compliance monitoring plan, and tracking compliance findings. Assess impacts of new financial service regulations and advise the business on regulatory topics, including PSD2/SEPA and cross-border payments. Coordinate communications with competent authorities in Luxembourg, report to governance forums, and act as an independent 2nd line of defence.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain the compliance risk assessment for NTGS SE and contribute to its ongoing maintenance.
•Execute the compliance monitoring plan and ensure issue tracking of compliance findings.
•Assess impacts of new financial service regulations and prepare compliance reports for governance forums.
•Provide advisory to the business on regulatory topics and support business development through analysis that mitigates compliance risks.
•Coordinate and follow up on correspondence with competent authorities in Luxembourg and across branches, and report compliance topics to governance forums.

Key Requirements

•Experience in a compliance function for organizations providing asset and banking services.
•In-depth knowledge of payments regulations, including PSD2, SEPA, instant credit transfer, and related EPC rulebooks, plus cross-border payments regulation.
•Knowledge of EU CRD and CRR requirements.
•Understanding of regulations around data protection and banking secrecy.
•Experience completing compliance risk assessments and monitoring plans.
