Job Summary

Build and advance reliability engineering practices for the Visa Cloud Platform as part of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. Drive adoption of observability, automation, and AI-AIOps to reduce toil and improve incident response, service health, and platform efficiency. Partner with software engineering, operations, and infrastructure peers on release and service transition readiness, including SLIs/SLOs, monitoring/alerting, runbooks, and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain platform SLAs and SLOs by driving operational excellence and process improvements, partnering with engineering and operations to eliminate manual touchpoints through automation and standardization.
•Own and operationalize end-to-end observability, alerting, and monitoring for the Visa Cloud Platform across IaaS, PaaS, and Container-as-a-Service environments.
•Own and deliver automation and AI-AIOps initiatives to reduce toil, improve reliability, accelerate incident response, and improve operational intelligence.
•Partner with development teams during release and service transition reviews to define and validate operational requirements such as SLIs/SLOs, monitoring/alerting, dashboards, runbooks, incident procedures, capacity expectations, and production readiness.
•Support the 24-7-365 SRE operating model with shift-based and on-call coverage, including weekend support as required.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
•2+ years working in a Platform, SRE, or Production Engineering group supporting high-availability platforms/applications.
•2 years experience with CI-CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Artifactory, and Azure DevOps in a large-scale environment.
•2 years experience with observability tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, DynaTrace, or Sentry in a large-scale environment.
•Beginner-level programming and/or scripting in 3+ of: Python, Java, Go, PowerShell, JavaScript, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Chef, Cloud Formation.
